Processor AMD Athlon II X2 250 stepping C3 went on sale in Japan

Not only periodically Intel improves its already released CPU, transferring them to new values of stepping, but also its main competitor in the microprocessor market, AMD. Extra evidence for this is the appearance in the lists of sales in the Japanese shop AKIBA Athlon II X2 processor 250 with a new stepping C3.


The new version of AMD Athlon II X2 250 is identified by a trademark identifier ADX2500CK23GM, and one of its major differences from previous versions stepping C2 is to change the values of working voltage - Volts 0,85-1,4 (C3) against 0,85-1,425 Volts ( C2). This helps reduce power consumption chip.

Other characteristics of the same AMD Athlon II X2 250 remained unchanged - two cores, 3 GHz, 2 MB cache second level and a TDP of 65 watts. CPU Athlon II X2 250 was introduced last year and is designed for use in low-cost desktop computers, and the value of its modifications stepping C3 is 5780 yen (about $ 68).
