Intel Corporation recently announced the impending transfer of its processors Core i3-530, Core i3-540 and Core i5-650 with frequencies of 2.93 GHz, 3.06 GHz and 3.2 GHz, respectively, the new stepping. These chips have two processing cores, built on 32 nm process technology standards and belong to a family of desktop Clarkdale, and their transition from the current C2 stepping to a new value R0 will begin next month.
The transition to stepping R0 bring a CPU Core i3-530, Core i3-540 and Core i5-650 following innovations:
* The new values of S-spec and MM
* New indicator Extended CPUID (0x00020655)
* New indicator Host RevID (0x18)
* Adding support functions Processor Context ID (PCID)
Note that the CPU usage with the new value will require stepping update BIOS, otherwise these chips may not be fully recognized by your motherboard. Add that the first processor stepping K0 should be available from 16 October.
