Also at IDF 2010, Acer has demonstrated Nettop Acer Revo 2, oriented to a greater extent, to use as a home multimedia solutions (set-top box). The device is built on a new SoC-Intel CE4100 chip for consumer electronics and operating system, Windows Media Center Embedded. At Acer Revo 2 contains ports HDMI, Ethernet, optical and analog audio outputs, a hard drive and a compartment for a thin optical drive.
It is interesting that this comes with Nettop control - RevoPad. It can serve as something of a touchpad or touchscreen QWERTY keyboard. This panel is moved into the front of the device, initially the surface is quite homogeneous and without any signs of keys. However, the touch of a button, turn on lights and RevoPad into a keyboard. Issue Acer Revo 2 is scheduled for the first half of next year, it is not clear how much the device would cost.
